My 11 yr old son who is very tall for his age came to me recently and said look at my mustache! He was so proud of this very thin, VERY SMALL (honestly, you really can’t see BUT he feels it) and feels very proud of his beginning manhood. Of course I am the mom and not so happy to see my firstborn son growing up so fast but I can’t stop it nor should I. I also can’t stop underarm odor, yuck, but I can give my son something he can use to combat it.
Unilever has launched a website Don’t Fret The Sweat and it helps teach you things like the difference between antiperspirant and deodorant, the age to start using deodorant, and much more. There is a quiz you can take to find out what product is best for your son or daughter to use. This is a GREAT website on the topic that isn’t always easy to talk about with your child. The site had many great ideas and well worth sharing with your mom friends.
Here is what the website says:
Your child is going through changes and, whether or not you’re ready, their body is trying to tell you something. Increased hormones are causing noticeable differences now, like growth spurts and strange new odors.
To better understand all the physical and emotional changes your child is facing, we’ve assembled an amazing team of professionals. As mothers, leaders and writers, these experts are here to offer advice and help you get a handle on the mysterious world of tweens. It’s important to know that fostering their self-reliance now, will benefit them for the rest of their lives.
Help your kid face these new opportunities with confidence. The first step is showing them that the right deodorant will free them from odor, embarrassment and discomfort.
I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Unilever and received the items necessary to facilitate my review. In addition, Mom Central sent me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.
