My husband loves breakfast casseroles. They are easy to make but taste like they have been cooking all day. You can mix up different ingredients you like and try new things in them all the time. We recently made one using Jimmy Deans Sausage Crumbles.
The sausage crumbles are pre-cooked, The turkey sausage crumbles(which we used) have only 4 grams of fat per serving. Jimmy Dean Sausage Crumbles come in 3 great flavors: Original, Turkey, and Hot & Spicy.
Bag of hash browns
2 cup bag of shredded cheese (mild cheddar)
How to make a breakfast casserole:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Spray dish/pan with butter spray
Pull layers of biscuits apart and make a thin layer on bottom of dish
Spread sausage crumbles evenly on top of biscuits
Spread hash brown evenly over sausage
Beat the 6 eggs and pour evenly over sausage and hash browns
Cover with shredded cheese
Bake for about 30 minutes.
This recipe is not hard to make at all! Once you mix the ingredients together and bake, you end up with a gooey hot casserole that melts in your mouth. You could put ingredients together the night before to make your morning time easier and then bake when you wake up! Sometimes we even do breakfast for dinner time and this would make a perfect dish for that!
