I love this time of year! The leaves are changing, the houses are decorated with pumpkins and the smell of a good bon fire is not too far away. It is also open enrollment season and the perfect time for you to think about the insurance needs of your family! You want to make sure your family has the perfect family’s health care plan. For most U.S. companies, fall marks open enrollment season, a time when workers can review their employer-sponsored benefits offerings and choose the health insurance policies that best meet their financial and health care needs. Did you know that 34 percent of employees spent 15 minutes or less researching their benefit options in 2014, this leaves you vulnerable for ending up with inadequate health care protection for yourselves and your families.
We are a family of 5! My husband and I and my three children! As much as I would like to think that we will all stay perfect and healthy at all times it is unlikely. Just this summer my husband had to have knee surgery, it is amazing how fast the medical bills pile up! According to a recent Aflac survey, 66 percent of workers would not be able to adjust to the large financial costs associated with a serious injury or illness, and 49 percent have less than $1,000 on hand to pay out-of-pocket medical expenses. In addition, the cash benefits can be used to help pay rent, gas, groceries, child care or any other out-of-pocket expenses that continue to roll in even if someone is too sick or injured to work.
This is the perfect time to check out Aflac’s Fall 2015 Open Enrollment and they have different plans for every need! Not every plan is for every person! Remember today’s workforce is comprised of a number of different generations, including baby boomers, Generation X, millennials/Generation Y and the incoming generation of workers known as Generation Z. Many of today’s families are also spanning more generations than in the past, which means one-size-fits-all benefits options aren’t enough anymore. So many factors are involved when it comes to picking the right insurance. Things such as family size, age, and marital status!
Make sure your family is protected this fall!
