On Saturday we went to the LEGO KidsFest in Cincinnati at the Duke Energy Center. As we walked in we were upstairs and the session had not started yet. You could see down through the glass windows all the displays before being touched by thousands of little hands. It was amazing seeing all of those LEGO”s in one place. My middle son who is the LEGO lover said, ” wow, this is heaven” a dream come true for a Lego Maniac for sure.
I couldn’t believe how incredible the characters were that was built from LEGO’S. We had some great photo opportunities with many of them. It is amazing how talented these builders have to be to make these characters look so real.
They had an area set up for duplo blocks so that preschoolers and toddlers could build. My kids LOVED the huge pile of LEGO’S on the floor just to build anything they wanted.
They had a car area where you could build a car and race it and a reading area with LEGO books, coloring sheets and word searches. A great place for resting.
They had contests, stations where the kids could listen to speakers and learn some cool facts, and many stations of building particular things. It really was a fun event and if you have a child that loves LEGOS it would make a great family outing. It is quite crowded so be prepared for that. I think it was easier to take the photo opps on our way out because the lines were so much shorter. This is a very organized event, you go it during a session that is 4 1/2 hours long (you can stay the whole time or leave when you want) and the lines move quickly.
On the way out everyone received a fun LEGO necklace.
I received free tickets for this event to review it. All opinions are 100 percent mine.
