Sunday night was Oscar night! Did any of you watch? There is the red carpet, beautiful gowns, awards, and the SPEECHES! You either love them or hate them but they are a big part of the big night! Many stars thank God, family and other loved ones. Some thank the people that got them where they are OR they decide to make political statements (which honestly, I think makes them look foolish) but to each their own. It’s important to remember that giving someone a meaningful thank you isn’t just a once a year gesture. Giving a meaningful thank you is a heartfelt way to show those important to you that you truly appreciate them every day.
If I was to win a big award my speech would go a little like this:
Thanks be to God, for without HIM I would be nothing! HE is the giver of all things and I’m blessed to be HIS child. Thank you Eric, (my hubby) for always supporting my dreams! You have always been my biggest cheerleader and the one who believes in me the most! I see how you light up when you are telling others about my blog or my writing and how proud of me you are and that means so much! I know how incredibly blessed I am everyday to have landed a man like you! Thank you for 19 wonderful years and thank you for true love!
There is nothing that makes a night of celebration extra special then chocolate (well for this mom anyway) oh, how I love chocolate (my favorite guilty pleasure) and Merci chocolate, ahh! So So Good! Truly it is the kind of chocolate you want to savor every bite and trust me I do! Merci Chocolates includes a delicious selection of rich, European chocolates made from the finest ingredients. Flavors range from Milk Chocolate, Cream Truffle and Hazelnut-Almond to Dark Cream and Praline-Crème
Toasting is a fun way to celebrate too! My 9 yr old daughter and I shared a toast of orange juice here, toasting to wonderful things to come! She loved it!
You can follow @MerciChocolates on Twitter and tweeting a meaningful thank you using the hashtag #MerciAwards.
Giveaway: One Angela’s Analysis reader will win a Joy of Thank you Red Carpet Kit which includes: a box of Merci chocolates, four elegant champagne flutes, a festive popcorn container, and a list of tips to help you share meaningful thank yous and toasts. To enter join the Rafflecopter below:
