Moments

In Ann’s book she talks about moments a lot!  Several bloggers talk about the word of the year for them, something they want to work on or just ponder for the year. I know mine and it’s MOMENTS!  I just want to take in more moments of my life and cherish them, and t0 look to God with gratitude for them.

Moments are not always good and sometimes we would just rather forget  but we can’t discount them because they grow us and make us who we are, sometimes even more then the good ones.  In those moments we cling to God and usually feel his presence even MORE in our lives and it is when we often see miracles unfold before our eyes.  I know that has been true for me.

There are so many moments I wish I could bottle up, I truly know why the Bible talks of Mary pondering things in her heart, she was taking in the moments and bottling them up in a world that had no cameras, scrapbooks, computers-just her heart!  A place no one can sneak in and steal-a Very Safe Place.  I lost my mother in law in 2008, a woman I loved so much and it was truly the first time I dealt with real grief, if there is anything that will make you appreciate life more it is losing someone you love and the older we get the more people we will see leave this earth and it makes the moments sweeter that we have with the ones left.  It helps us not to take for granted the moments.  I hope that can be me this year, just like when you cherish that piece of pie or cake you know is the last piece, you eat it slow and savor it-let it be like that for the moments I have around me, savoring sweet and slow!

I know it’s Sunday morning – a long time since “Walking With Him Wednesday”. But it took a long time to get through the “Multitude Monday” posts – and still didn’t get past 140 or so.

Ahhhh – moments – a perfect word for the year – mine is “connect”. And the moments, they connect – just thought of that. But to treasure them as they pass – Ann is teaching us both that I think.

These words were a blessing today. Thank you.

God be with you and yours
