We received the game My Grocery List from Marina Games to review. This is a twist on the standard memory game, instead of matching cards you get a grocery list with different food items on it. Then you and your child take turns flipping cards over, if you get a card that is on your list you get to keep it and go again. Whoever has the most cards at the end wins.
My daughter LOVES this game, she is about to turn 8 and I felt like the game was border line too young for her but she really enjoys it and that is all that matters. This makes a great game for preschool up because you don’t have to read to play. My daughter took this Thanksgiving to her cousins house who is a couple of years younger and they played all by themselves because it is so easy to follow.
The cards are colorful and easy to grasp. They are also made sturdy. Fun game to sharpen your memory. You also get a card that is shaped like a shopping basket so when the kids get their cards they can put them in their basket. Fun! I thought it would be neat if you actually had to get a pair, would make it a little more challenging for the older kids but this is a great game and well worth having.
Game is 7.99
I received this game free to review through Family Review Network. All opinions are 100 percent mine.
