I Love mystery games for the Wii and for the computer. I think a real good mystery game is hard to find so I was thrilled when I was given the opportunity to review two Nancy Drew games for my PC. I love the graphics on these games. I also like how you can set it at Jr. Level or Sr Level which is more challenging for the adult player. It is very easy to play with a click and point system, you just walk around and wait for your pointer to light up to see what is next to explore. The games have a wonderful way that explains how to get around the game, there is a manual on Nancy Drews desk that walks you step by step how to manuver. All three of my kids gather around when I’m playing, they are loving them and so am I.
The first one is Secrets Can Kill before, the story is that Jake Rogers was murdered and his killer is on the loose. Nancy Drew who happens to be you is on the case! As a tribute to Nancy Drew’s 80th anniversary, Her Interactive is relaunching this game. There are redesigned characters, updated graphics, new puzzles, and even a different ending then the original had. There are task lists that help you move forward. There is also Super Sleuth awards at the end. The game has an updated 3-D graphics and new puzzles and mini-games to enjoy,
Designed for everyone ages 10 and up, the PC game is rated “E”, with a content warning for violence and a drug reference. The game is compatible with Windows 7, Vista, and XP.
The brand new Nancy Drew game that is coming out is Nancy Drew: Tales of the Twister. I love seeing the graphics of the storms. In the game is that there is $1,000,000 at stake in a competition to discover a formula to predict tornado touchdowns. However, the crew starts getting hurt and equipment starts to fail, you (Nancy Drew) have to figure out if it’s just bad luck or sabotage. You learn all kinds of things about weather so it is a great science lesson for the kids.
