I think one of the greatest gifts we can give our children is the gift of helping others, I want my kids to know that there are many others that don’t have what they have in this world. There are children that are hurting everywhere in this world without enough to eat and without any of the comforts my children have. Operation Christmas Child is such a wonderful way to bless a child in another country that never see gifts, (some truly have NEVER had a present) in their life. You can pack a shoebox with a new toy and some extra fun surprises to bless another child. These children even love getting soap and toothbrushes, these items are SO hard to come by, even impossible for many and these children are just so excited to get these things.
My children all filled out the forms you can print on their website telling the child that will get their box all about them.
Here is some information on How to Pack a shoe box.
My children loved packing the shoebox to bless a child and we enjoyed picking out different things to put in the box. Below is a list from the site to give you ideas on what would and wouldn’t be a good idea to add to your box.
This holiday season build a box with your family to teach kindness, compassion, and generosity.
BlogFrog will match the first 200 boxes that are built. Pledge your commitment below to build a box today on Facebook or Twitter!
