Saving with Walgreens #rxsavingsclub Prescription Savings Club

Many families do not have health insurance any more.  I know first hand what it is like to have had insurance my whole married life and to now have none.  For a mom it can be scary.  What will we do if our kids get sick?  What if someone breaks a limb or worse?  How will we pay for our prescriptions and on and on.  Women like to feel secure especially when it comes to their families.  We are living in a different time.  My husband had the same job for 11 years and now has been laid off of two jobs in the last 3 yrs.  We are grateful he has a job now but like many other jobs in the U.S his new job offers no benefits and is contract based.

If I can find things that help us save money with our health cost I’m all for it and now Walgreens has a Prescription Savings Club that helps save you on many prescription and not just on them but on all Walgreens products.  Walgreens has a wonderful website and I was able to check out the Savings Club before I even went there.  I often order photos off the site.  It is very user friendly.

My daughter had a birthday party to shop for so we made a shopping/lunch date out of it and I headed to Walgreens first.  I have a Walgreens only a couple of miles from me and it is my favorite pharmacy, I love that is has a drive thru so on most days I just drive through quickly.  I went in on this trip so I could buy my Prescription Savings Club.  The lady at the counter was very good at explaining the whole program.  She explained how much I could save on prescriptions, how I could save buying Walgreens products, and how the card would work. She gave me detailed list on everything I could save on, it was so helpful.

I signed up for the club right at the pharmacy counter. I received a temporary card to use right away, but my permanent card should arrive in the mail in a few weeks. The staff at my Walgreens is always very friendly.
Joining the Walgreens Prescription Savings Club only costs $20 for an individual plan and $35 for a family plan.  I have a a husband and three kids so the 35.00 a year was well worth it!

You can find my shopping story in my google+ album.

You can follow Walgreens on facebook or twitter to get all the latest news about the Prescription Club and more.
