Every morning I have a rountine that gets me going in the morning. I am a work at home, homeschooling mom of three so my days are always jam packed. I try to get up two hours before my kids do so I can get some work done and also have time to read headlines and my favorite blogs before starting school. I used to NEVER be a morning person but as I get older I do wake up earlier on my own (rarely use an alarm).
Having a latte is a great thing to do when I read my favorite blogs every morning. It make it even more special and makes me look forward to cuddling up to a warm blanket, a hot latte with a light breakfast, and a quiet house to enjoy reading others stories and lives.
Here is simple latte recipe:
To make your latte: Heat 1 cup milk in a saucepan over medium-low heat, whisking quickly with a wire whisk to create foam. Meanwhile, brew your strong coffee (you’ll need about 1/2 cup). Pour the heated milk into a tall mug, holding back the foam with a spoon. Add strong brewed coffee and spoon a thin layer of foamed milk over beverage.
My blog list is unique. I say unique because I follow a wide variety of blogs, I think most bloggers follow the same kind of blogs for the most part. Mommy blogs, business blogs, craft blogs, or whatever their interests are. I follow a mixture of those! It is really hard to narrow down to my favorites but I wanted to list a few from different categories that I love so much.
Faith blogs are very special to me because my faith is such an important part of who I am. I read the different stories of inspiration and God’s love and that inspires me in my walk with the Lord.
I love Ann Voskamps blog A Holy Experience-No one writes like Ann Voskamp, she has a way of reaching into your heart and expressing things you have felt so often in your life, it is really amazing. Her faith is strong and she truly lives what she writes. She doesn’t hesitate to share her weaknesses with us either, she is constantly reminding us she is not perfect, just a sinner saved by grace!
We are That Famiy-I had the honor of meeting Kristen at Allume Blogging Conference last year. She is so raw and honest in her blogging and you feel like you are not alone in your struggles, she does amazing work in Africa with Mercy House, a House that helps pregnant women there-it is a place that gives them the hope of Jesus and provides their physical needs as well. They have often been abused and abandoned.
The Better Mom is a blog where I contribute once a month and it has SO many amazing writers. I LOVE all of these ladies and their blogs but if I listed them this post would be too long. The Better Mom is part of them all and I am beyond honored to be a part of this team. In my wildest dreams I would have never imagined it. Their love of God, motherhood, and their husbands are AMAZING! I have learned so much from each one of these ladies and I just feel blessed being there!
I also LOVE review blogs and my two favorite are My Four Monkeys and Thanks Mail Carrier-I love their detailed pictures and the time and effort they put in each review. I met both of these women at Reviewers Retreat 12 and it was so great meeting them in real life!
I love The Mom Creative and Becky Higgins blog-they are full of inspiration for my love of scrapbooking and Project Life. The Mom Creative also has some great deals she shares! Money Saving Mom is where I have learned SO much about saving money , the deals that come through there are AMAZING. She gives real practical advice on saving money, getting out of debt, AND how to make money from home. Love it!
My last one that I will mention is Sunshine and Sippy Cups-another girl I met at Reviewers Retreat 2012. She is such a sweet person and I have learned SO much from her blog posts. Wow, she doesn’t just tell you tips on getting your blog going, she tells you fun events and places to sign up with and who the best affliates are to get involved with. She has taught me SO much! I can’t believe how much she shares and I’m so GRATEFUL to her for it!
There are several more that make my feeder but I tried to narrow it down as much as I could. I think community online is AWESOME! It gives you such a great way to connect to other women from all over the world and from all walks of life. I’m feel so blessed to be a part of it!
