Shout Unstructured Play Contest & Summer Gift Pack(Giveaway)

Shout logo

I am a firm believer in unstructured play.  There is not enough of it anymore, everywhere you turn there is structured activities or events.  There is nothing wrong with that sometimes but we have forgotten how to to just let our kids PLAY.  I was so excited to see that Shout believes that too.  They see the beauty of the child’s imagination and unstructured play.  Launched last year to help educate parents on the benefits of play, Shout’s Go Play initiative has been working to get families having fun outdoors without worrying about getting dirty.

Shout has continued on with their partnership with Jennie Finch, Olympic athlete and Mom, as their Shout stain expert. Between her years playing softball and caring for her two sons, Jennie has encountered her fair share of stains.

So Moms, let the messes go!  Enjoy you summer to the fullest!  Let your kids play in the mud, eat Popsicle s or 2 or 3 scoops of ice cream on cones-run, play, and invent. Don’t let the stains worry you!

About the contest:

Unstructured play gives children the freedom to create and play with their imaginations – so Jennie and Shout® want to see what your family can come up with!  Find out more details to enter here.

During the contest (which runs from June 4 through July 1, 2012) simply submit photos of your children creating a game with just with their imaginations, three objects (such as glitter, a fly swatter, and a water wing) and the permission to play. Fans can vote for their favorite photos every week Thursday through Sunday and once a photo is submitted, it will be re-entered to win each week, so there is no need to resubmit.

My daughter loving her homemade stove made out of a cardboard box with Cd’s as burners, she plays with this one way more then her real play kitchen.  Her daddy helped her make it!  She loves to take it outside when she plays with her neighbor friend.  She just picks it up and goes!

Five winners will be selected each week to win a prize pack including all the Shout products needed to treat stains whenever and wherever they happen:

  • Shout Advanced Ultra Gel Brush
  • Shout Wipes
  • Shout Triple Acting Formula
  • Shout Color Catcher
  • $25 gift card
  • A vintage Shout t-shirt

Find out more about the Unstructured Play photo contest on Shout’s Facebook page, but remember, it ends on July 1st!

My children have grown, but I rememberr not seeing the Living Room floor because of the tent city they built to play in. Summer was also a time for the sand box in the backyard. I agree with letting children have unstructered time to play . Too many organized games and teams turn into adult run ego building projects and I am not talking about the kids.

My Neice and Nephews play flashlight tag in the later evening time, when it just starts to get dark, there is lots of crawling on knees and scooting on rears to hide in small places , like under the bushes in the back yard or under the dirty old porch . It lots of fun for the adults to see the kids playing this game.

They both love to listen to music and sing along even if the words are not the same. I love listening to their little voices.
