Show Me Decorating {Review}

I LOVE Christmas!  I love a beautifully lit tree and lights all over town, there is just something about it that stirs such wonderful memories of my past.  I love turning the lights off and just sit in the living room with the lit tree.  It is so peaceful and so beautiful.

I was recently asked to review show me Christmas DVD  Recipe for Holiday Tree Trimming.  I was very excited to check this DVD out. One of the first things I learned in this video was how to make one of those beautiful Christmas bows.  I have always wanted to be able to do that and without a creative bone in my body thought I could never do it without a bow maker but this dvd shows me step by step how and it really isnt HARD!

I love my main tree to be about the family.  The trees in this video are beautiful, they look perfect!  I will have to say our tree usually DOES NOT!  Well it might not through the eyes of a professional tree decorator, but to this mama it looks stunning.  Why?  Because it captures our family.  Homemade ornaments from the kids, places we have been, special ones given to us at special times and a hodge podge of lights and beads. It was suggested that I can still lay the background with great ribbon, balls, and floral then my ornaments can really stand out.  I can’t wait to try this!   I would still love to have a tree just to look beautiful in a different room, maybe I will really go out and even put one in my bedroom or family room!

Another thing I realized after watching it was I could take tips away to make any tree look better and still not do all of them suggested.  For example, you can take a huge ornament and just push it toward the back of the branches and it brings out a beautiful background and color without looking large at all.  I just LOVED this idea.

If you have to decorate a tree at the office or church or anywhere else this would also be great to watch.  These ladies actually decorated the tree at their state capitol building.  So many great things to learn, they certaintly have a gift!

The webiste has many wonderful features and you can shop by themes or by color.  It is a beautiful site that can help you find just the right choices for your tree!

This DVD was given to me free to review.  All opinions are 100 percent mine

    This looks great! I always have a great vision for my tree, but somehow it just doesn’t look like the picture in my mind :/
