Spring Cleaning Checklist Room by Room

It is that time of year again and I love spring!  Spring is the perfect time to get your house cleaned and organized!   It always feels so good to have a clean house and getting it done in the spring helps you to enjoy the fun of summer even more!

I have put together a room by room checklist for your spring cleaning!

The first thing you want to do is gather your supplies: The picture below has a great list to start your spring cleaning! For my spring cleaning, I stocked up at my Walmart store on my Viva®, Cottonelle® and Scott® products since I love saving money and I love that I can find everything I need including my groceries!

You can start in any room you want!  Some people like to start in a room they think will be easier and some like to get the tougher ones out of the way first!  I love to put on some good fast music for cleaning and light a scented candle!  There is just something that makes tackling cleaning feel better when the place smells good!

Kitchen

Remove everything from counters and clean counters well

Clean all appliances

Wash curtains

Clean windows

Remove everything from kitchen floor and do a thorough sweep & mop

Clean light fixtures

Wipe down all cabinets

Clean out refrigerator

If you have ceiling fans dust them

Clean baseboards

Change smoke alarm battery

When you are spring cleaning there are so many things to dust and wipe and you want a great paper towel for those jobs!  My favorite is Viva® Vantage®, which has a scrubby texture, like a terrycloth.   They are great for getting stainless steel appliances and glassware to shine and for scrubbing stovetops, patio furniture and other grimy surfaces.  I need a papertowel that will be durable for tough cleaning and Viva® Vantage® gets the job done!

I wish I could just hire someone to come to my house and do this for me LOL. I have a lot to do, so I better get started.

A great list… I totally agree that music sure helps it all go much faster. Now if I could find an easy solution for cleaning wood blinds I would be set.

I really need to get started on my spring cleaning. Normally I have it all done by now, but not this year.

It has been such a hectic (& fun) few weeks that I haven’t kept up. I need to get my home back to neutral & then start the spring cleaning projects I have planned. It’s nice to see them all in a list!

This is great! I’m starting all my Spring cleaning today. I’m kind of dreading it, but it’s not going to be as bad as the other years. This is a great check list I’ll be using!
