The Minivan Express

in Christmas,Family Memories

I totally stole Erica’s idea at Confessions of a Homeschoolers blog for the minivan express, click here to get her printouts. I did laminate mine, my glossy photopaper wouldn’t work in my printer. I did add a couple of things for our night. Character training in children is my hearts passion and I thought it would be neat when I hole punched their tickets to get into the van I would give them a word to think about like they did in the movie toward the end. My husband thought it would be too hard to hole punch a word in the ticket so we attached it to the ticket. I picked a word that each child is struggling with lately. Mercy, Obedience and Kindness. On the card my husband wrote the word in dots and we added a scripture verse that goes with it. We then climbed in and went to pick up an uncle and aunt which was a suprise and then looked at some great Christmas lights. We even stopped for a refreshment break, shakes at UDF. The kids had a really great night, of course so did us adults.

Great idea for the character traits! I'll have to add that to our tickets next year :) Glad you had fun!
